Hi,the supporters of my blog please read the piece of news below this paragraph.I was informed that the swine flu has reached the 5th stage and most of the people are wearing a mask when they are doing outdoor activities, but not in singapore but at other countries. So i wish everybody will be cautious when you are standing beside a person sneezing.SO BEWARE......And remember to continue reading..........
Swine flu spread across the globe Saturday as South Korea confirmed its first case and Italy said its first patient with the flu had already recovered, while the death toll in Mexico rose to 16.
South Korean authorities said a 51-year-old woman who had recently visited Mexico was infected and Hong Kong and China raced to find anyone who had come into contact with a Mexican who has the virulent flu.
Italy said a man in his 50s in the central region of Tuscany had returned from Mexico on April 23 and was hospitalised at Massa, near Florence, a week later but he had responded well to treatment.
"The patient is cured, and has no further symptoms" of the A(H1N1) influenza, Antonio Delvino, a Tuscany health official, was quoted as saying by the ANSA news agency.
In Mexico, where the virus originated last month, Health Minister Jose Angel Cordova confirmed another fatality and said he expected the death toll to rise further in the coming days.
He confirmed that "the majority of the deaths are women" and said one had been pregnant.
Cordova said it was too early to say if the epidemic was stabilizing, after his earlier comment that the H1N1 virus was "not so aggressive" as first feared.
"We need more days to see what the behaviour is, and to see if there really is a sustained reduction," he said.
"At this moment we can expect in a few days that there will be another increase, but at the moment it is unpredictable, we don't have that data."
South Korean health officials said the country's first confirmed case -- reportedly a nun -- was expected to be discharged from hospital Monday.
Hong Kong meanwhile confirmed a 25-year-old Mexican who arrived from Mexico via Shanghai had brought the first case of swine flu into a city living in fear of a repeat of the SARS virus and bird flu outbreaks of recent years.
After the discovery of the case Friday, police sealed off the hotel in Hong Kong where he had briefly stayed and placed the building and more than 300 guests and staff under a seven-day quarantine.
The case sparked a regional alert, with China immediately ordering health authorities to track down and isolate the man's fellow passengers, while some pharmacies in Hong Kong sold out of face masks.
Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang was taking no chances in the densely populated, sub-tropical territory, saying he would "raise the alert level from serious to emergency."
India and Japan also reported suspected cases, with Japanese authorities saying a four-month-old baby from the United States was being tested.
The alarm caused by the flu was evident in Egypt , where a slaughter of the nation's 250,000 pigs began despite the World Health Organization insisting that there was no evidence that the animals were transmitting flu to humans.
Benin became the second African country to report a suspected case of the flu as Health Minister Issifou Takpara told AFP that a European woman may have contracted the virus during a trip in Mexico.
Britain recorded its first cases of swine flu apparently transmitted to people who had not travelled recently to Mexico, as the number infected rose to 13.
But amid the spread of the virus, health authorities said the world appeared better prepared to fight an epidemic than a few years ago, and vowed that a vaccine was only months away.
The WHO has warned that a pandemic is now imminent, raising its alert level to five out of six, but Marie-Paule Kieny, its director of the Initiative for Vaccine Research said: "We have no doubt that making a successful vaccine is possible in a relatively short period of time."
She added it might take four to six months.
Some 143 infections are confirmed in the United States across 20 states, but officials said the outbreak did not appear to be anywhere near as dangerous as the 1918 flu epidemic, which killed an estimated 50 million people worldwide.
"We do not see the markers for virulence that were seen in the 1918 virus," said Nancy Cox, the chief of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention influenza division.
Most cases outside Mexico have involved only mild symptoms of the illness that can be treated with existing flu medicines, and some experts have suggested the virus may have weakened as it was carried outside the country.

Today,as it is earth day,i always like helping the world but when i read the news yesterday,i found out that our world will be having a disaster in the year 2012.When i read that news,i was shocked.I was scared because maybe i will be destroyed on that year. And i cannot see my friends again.
But today is earth day,so do not be sad.I always think that earth day is important to everyone including me.Everybody always recycle, reduce and reuse because some people understand the meaning of helping the world. We can save the world actually by off the lights when we are not using. My family and i can help to off the lights for 1 hour everyday.

Snakes
Hi friends,i am back again. Please read this news!
MELBOURNE, Australia - Four baby pythons escaped from a container aboard a passenger plane in Australia, leading to a search that forced the cancellation of two flights, the airline said Thursday.
Twelve non-venemous Stimson pythons were being transported Tuesday on a flight from Alice Springs to Melbourne in the plane's cargo area in a bag inside a plastic foam box with air holes.
When the flight landed, it was discovered that four snakes had escaped from the package, a Qantas spokeswoman said in a statement.
A reptile expert searched for the 6-inch (15-centimeter) -long snakes but did not find them. It was not known if the snakes were still on the plane or if they had somehow escaped outside after the plane landed.
In the meantime, the plane missed two flights it had been scheduled to fly and the passengers were transferred to other flights.
When the snakes were not found, the airplane was fumigated and it returned to service on Wednesday.
Stimson's pythons, which can grow up to three feet (one meter) long, live in western and central Australia and are not an endangered species.

Woman jailed 10 months for having sex with a minor
The people who always reads my blog will have to read this piece of news. This news is about a woman jailed 1o months because of having sex with a minor,i wish everybody will understand this piece of news.
SINGAPORE: A 32—year—old Singaporean divorcee was sentenced to 10 months’ jail for having sex with a minor.
The woman, who has a 14—month—old son, was working as a canteen stall assistant in the victim’s school.
The victim was only 13 years old at the time of the incident.
The court was told that the two had contacted each other through the victim’s mother, who was taking care of the divorcee’s child.
On her mother’s behalf, the victim had to regularly send SMS messages to the divorcee for childcare arrangements.
This led to the divorcee obtaining the victim’s phone number and her regular calls to him.
They had sex a total of seven times before they were found out.
The divorcee, who was suffering from depression at the time, is the second woman to be jailed this year for having sex with a boy below 16.

F1 Racing
Today, let me present to you about a news that is related to F1 racing. The friends that likes this news, please continue reading this piece of news.=)
SINGAPORE: Road closures within the Formula One circuit will be cut from the extensive 12 days last year to seven days this year.
While speed demons were on a high during last year’s inaugural night race, some businesses within the F1 circuit found themselves left out of the party as extensive road closures before and after the race put the brakes on spending.
With more experience this time round, government agencies — Singapore Tourism Board and Land Transport Authority — and race organiser Singapore GP said they will shorten the road closure period to improve the situation.
They will start with single—lane closures the Saturday before Race Day weekend which is from 25—27 September.
Full road closures will kick in two days before Race Day weekend, instead of six days previously. Access during peak hours remains.
Roads will be reopened two days after the race, by 5pm Tuesday instead of 4pm.
But more needs to be done to help improve bottomlines.
STB’s assistant chief executive (international group) and director for F1, Leong Yue Kheong, said: "With reduction in road closures, impact to shop owners, stakeholders and people who operate businesses in the area will already be significantly reduced.
"Second thing (which) we have already started doing in the last few weeks. We have moved around, engaging stakeholders in and around Marina Circuit...Our idea is to share with them our plans and listen to them in terms of potential initiatives and collaborations....to jointly promote and drive business to the area."
Some ideas include having a F1 display car in one of the malls and organising F1 driver autograph sessions.
The STB is also looking to improve signages for pedestrians.
But for places like the Esplanade, which lost $750,000 last year as its venue could not be used for commercial bookings during the race period, takings will still be affected.
This year, it has already lost one long running production with a fixed touring schedule.
One improvement the arts venue hopes to see this time is enhanced public awareness of accessibility to the area.
But besides keeping businesses and people flowing locally, organisers also need to pull in the tourist numbers.
Like last year, STB has set twin targets of $100m in tourism receipts with at least 40 per cent of spectators from overseas.
However, unlike last year, it is a very different and very challenging economic environment this year.
Singapore GP says it is spreading its wings further this time around.
Colin Syn, Singapore GP’s deputy chairman, said: "We still haven’t done road shows to various countries which we will be doing very soon to try and bring more people on and try and maintain last year’s numbers."
It is looking at untapped markets which include the Middle East.
F1 tickets go on sale on Thursday.

Improving the school
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf_8VVDwyQjI9_zV-bs2QzmcrqFvtl2kHbCxGRApUBj4zh-AvL-YjcDlPDVusPx7NHcLewwjTgTyIicGFGb1C7cf1pU3tyTTuuNHhf6XrDbUp9WW86Y0CZ0w-9DYGBjd1Le7I7TBTWhH7k/s320/images.jpg)
For improving the school, the school should be changed a bit because the toilet is smelly and sometimes without paper. And the lost things,we should ask prefects to patrol around the whole school to see anybody that is suspicious and if that suspicious person is with a group of people, then the prefects should ask for more prefects to come and help to question the suspicious person. The place that i like the most is the computer lab.And the place that i dislike is the toilet is because its always wet and without toilet papers. We can improve our school also by asking the cleaners to clean the toilets everyday. The parts of our school can be improved.Like not going out of the canteen if we are eating and don't litter the whole place.
